Freshman Students' Experiences of Building Self-Confidence In Public Speaking : A Narrative Study
Public speaking was the process of delivering or performing a message in a big group. To support public speaking, the students need self-confidence. Self-confidence is defined as a belief in their ability that is fully capable of accomplishing a task. This research aimed to explore the freshman students’ experiences of building self-confidence in public speaking. As freshman students, public speaking was complicated because they did not have more experience. In addition, the English student's department as the second language would speak the English language in public speaking. Therefore, the researcher was interested to investigate the students in the second semester of their experience of building self-confidence in public speaking. The participants were students who had been taking Public Speaking Course. To present the data was presented in a Narrative study to retell the experience of the students.
